Each new Feng Shui year brings a particular energetic movement. In 2026 (from February 4), we are fully anchored in Period 9, a cycle governed by the Fire element, vision, creativity, and expansion.
As I explained last week in my article, this year 2026 will be marked by the influences of the Fire Horse, a lively, fast energy that can amplify both opportunities and tensions if the environment is not harmonised.
As always, the positioning of the annual flying stars modifies the internal dynamics of your home. This placement never replaces the natal stars, but acts like an “energetic weather forecast”, activating, supporting, or sometimes shaking certain sectors.

Which stars are unfavourable and how to remedy them?
The South – Star 5
Star 5 is the most unstable and harmful star. The fire of the period and of the year nourishes its earth. And to top it all off, in 2026, it occupies the South, a Fire sector! Needless to say, you will need to be wary of it this year. It can generate all sorts of problems: health issues, obstacles, bad luck, irritations, financial losses, or even disputes.
This year, it will influence more strongly people with Kua Number 9 (Li trigram), or whose Chinese zodiac sign is the Horse (Wu – S2).
To harmonise this space:
Limit works, renovations, and loud noise.

The North-West – Star 2
Star 2 is associated with illness and exhaustion. It can affect vitality, emotional stability, and fertility. As earth nourishes metal, it will weaken slightly in NW.

The South-West – Star 7
Star 7 represents conflicts, violence, losses, thefts, communication issues, or misunderstandings. The South-West, being earth, nourishes it, which does not help us. If your bedroom is in this sector, expect more arguments; maintain good communication.
To appease:
Add a remedy with the Water element or even Water + Wood (for example, a large vase with bamboo stalks).
Avoid exposed sharp objects (store knives if your kitchen is in this area).
Maintain a calm atmosphere, without excessive stimulation.
This year, it will influence more strongly people with Kua Number 2 (Kun trigram), or those whose Chinese zodiac sign is the Goat (Wei – SW1) or Monkey (Shen – SW3).
The West – Star 3
Star 3 is the star of disputes, tensions, irritability, lies, delays, and administrative blockages.
Advice:
Soothe with the Fire element.
Avoid an excess of Wood (green plants).
Remain attentive to words spoken: calm communication, clear intention.
This year, it will influence more strongly people with Kua Number 7 (Dui trigram), or those whose Chinese zodiac sign is the Rooster (You – W2).
Which stars are favourable and how to activate them?
The South-East – Star 9
Star 9 is the most favourable star of Period 9: visibility, expansion, motivation, beauty, popularity, the energy of the future (new project, new career).
The sector nourishes it, but it can be activated with Yang Water (fountain, aquarium).
This is an ideal zone for creative projects, finding inspiration.
This year, it will benefit more strongly people with Kua Number 7 (Dui trigram), or whose Chinese zodiac sign is the Rooster (You – W2).
The East – Star 8
Although we have entered Period 9, star 8 remains favourable: stability, material prosperity, security.
To support this sector, you can bring the Earth element or even Fire.
This year, it will benefit more strongly people with Kua Number 3 (Zhen trigram), or whose Chinese zodiac sign is the Rabbit (Mao – E2).
The North – Star 6
Star 6 brings support, status, power, career luck, external help, and healthy authority. A beautiful star for important decisions.
To benefit from it, keep a structured and orderly space. You can bring the Metal element to the zone. Ideally, you should place a desk there this year if you work from home or are an entrepreneur.
This star will influence more strongly people with Kua Number 1 (Kan trigram) or those of the Chinese zodiac Rat (Zi – N2).
The North-East – Star 4
Star 4 encourages studies, writing, creativity. Students love it!
To amplify it, you can bring Wood (plants) and even Water.
This star will influence more strongly people with Kua Number 8 (Gen trigram) or those of the Chinese zodiac Ox (Chou – NE1) or Tiger (Yin – NE3).
The Centre – Star 1
Star 1 symbolises potential, new opportunities, fluidity, wisdom, good reputation. It supports intuition and mental clarity.
To welcome it, avoid clutter in the centre of the house and encourage the smooth circulation of chi.
The annual afflictions in 2026
The Grand Duke Jupiter (Tai Sui) is the God of the year. In 2026, it is therefore the Horse. He sits in S2 (172.5 – 187.5°).
We must therefore avoid disturbing him with works and new arrangements. One must not face him. As this sector contains star 5 in 2026, it is very important not to awaken him.
To have his support, you should prefer the N2 orientation (352.5 – 7.5°), where his enemy the Rat is located.
The N2 sector contains the Year Breaker (Sui Po). Likewise, avoid making too much noise in this sector, whether by carrying out renovations, new arrangements, or wild parties.
The Three Killings in 2026 cover the North + NE1 + NW1 sector, meaning they extend from 322.5° to 37.5°. Again, avoid works in this zone.
Because this sector contains star 6 in the North + star 4 in the North-East in 2026, it is not as negative as usual; things balance out slightly.
